Integrated Production Control Systems: Management Analysis Design
Published in Paperback by John Wiley and Sons Ltd (23 June, 1987)
Author: J.E. Bailey
Average review score:

Excellent textbook for Production Planning and Control
This book contains almost everything about the classical approaches to manufacturing and production planning & control. But there is not enough information about the operations research related issues. It is a great book but has to be updated to the new research interests of today about production planning. I would suggest to check Factory Physics.

Internet Economics
Published in Hardcover by MIT Press (01 May, 1997)
Authors: Lee W. McKnight and Joseph P. Bailey
Average review score:

Excellent Coverage of the key issues in Internet Economics
This book is a collection of articles based on a conference at MIT in 1995. Although many of the articles in this book are available over the web, this publication can save many, many hours of searching and download time.

Content wise, much of the book focuses on issues relating to pricing schemes for the internet. Although the data used in these articles will date quickly (and indeed already has) the theoretical pricing models explored are likely to be of increasing interest.

There is also some coverage of electronic commerce, but this book is probably going to be of most interest to those interested in the 'economic' analysis of the internet.

An informative and handy book which fills a void when it comes to print publications in this field.

Japan's Economy in War and Reconstruction: Japanese Economic History, Volume 2
Published in Library Binding by Routledge (01 September, 2000)
Authors: Jerome Bernard Cohen, George Bailey Sansom, and Janet Hunter
Average review score:

Reprint of classic study
This is a reprint of Cohen's 1949 book. (Sansom wrote the foreward.) While amended in some respects by later work, there is a great deal here that is valuable and unique. Cohen provided much of the economic information for the U.S. Strategic Survey reports on Japan; this is much more detailed and comprehensive in most respects.

The Jasta Pilots: Detailed Listings and Histories, August 1916-November 1918
Published in Hardcover by Grub Street the Basement (December, 1996)
Authors: Norman Franks, Frank Bailey, Rick Diuven, and Rick Duiven
Average review score:

The Jasta Encyclopedia
I think of this book as an encyclopedia of the Jagdstaffeln of the Imperial German Air Service. There are no first-hand accounts of air combat. Instead, this book is the product of countless hours of painstaking research into the history of the German fighter units of World War I. It is, in short, a reference book, as opposed to easy reading. A half-page history of each Jasta is given. A map showing the locations of the Jasta airfields is cross-referenced to those units that operated there at any time during the war. The map is best read with the aid of a magnifying glass! A chronological listing of the commanders of each Jasta is presented, along with a summary of each pilot accredited with one or more victories. The heart of the book is an alphabetical list of the Jasta pilots, giving a brief summary of their combat records. There are a number of good black and white group photos of many of the Jastas. Of special interest to model enthusiasts, a number of black and white aircraft profile views illustrate the characteristic markings used by the Jastas at various times during the war. Comprehensive lists of casualties round out the volume. In summary, this book should prove invaluable to anyone wishing to pursue serious historical or biographical research into German fighter operations during the Great War.

Kinfolks and Custard Pie: Recollections and Recipes from an East Tennessean
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Tennessee Pr (January, 1989)
Authors: Walter N. Lambert and Hugh Bailey
Average review score:

Good country cooking and warm country memories!
This book was a life-saver for a woman who married a man used to country cooking! The author grew up about half a mile from where we live and his memories of how life used to be around here are fascinating. The book is full of humor and, of course, plenty of wonderful country recipes (I didn't even know there was such a thing as wilted lettuce until I met my husband's family!) Great read for historical value even if the recipes aren't what you are looking for.

Lee Bailey's Long Weekends
Published in Hardcover by Random House Value Publishing (November, 1998)
Author: Lee Bailey
Average review score:

An entertainer's delight....
While Bailey may not be for everyone, his books read almost like stories -- with each menu, one can nearly envision the entire party: guests, setting, etc. His menus are practical, one doesn't have to fuss with a million and one ingredients or otherwise complex receipes. And the food is tasty! If you entertain....and are constantly combing your cookbooks for inspiration, put Bailey on top of your list.

Authors: Thomas Andrew Bailey and Paul B. Ryan
Average review score:

The ultimate authority on the LUSITANIA controversies
Arriving on shelves over twenty years ago, this collaborative work by Paul B. Ryan and Thomas A. Bailey is a comprehensive, in depth reference. Although lean on illustrations, it is full of important information on the many controversies surrounding the loss of the LUSITANIA in 1915. Conspiracy theorists beware: here is undisputable evidence that the sinking of the LUSITANIA was not the result of a setup. For anyone who wants the truth behind the LUSITANIA disaster, here it is - time tested and proven.

DENISE'S PIECES REVIEW
Monero is a book of intrigue. Taking place mainly in the
Country of Mexico, the author uses their customs and
conversations to add flare to his storyline.

where he wants to go in life. Still hanging onto the past,
he struggles with his inward self. Never achieving his

The author takes you back to Gary's past and shows you the

The story of one man and his struggles with self and the path he has chosen in life. A nice read on a quiet afternoon.
